PITCH NY — your chance to pitch your original film or TV idea to a real entertainment industry professional!
A one-day intensive workshop in NYC, PitchNY is focused on promoting diversity in the entertainment industry both by highlighting diverse content and increasing opportunity for content creators: filmmakers, producers, and writers. Diverse content may include themes of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity and more.
Student participants will learn industry tips, develop relationships with aspiring filmmakers and industry leaders and, have the opportunity for their work to be critiqued and discovered by entertainment industry leaders.
The day will include informational panel discussions with industry professionals and creative leaders sharing industry insights and guidance. In addition, there will be a “speed dating” style opportunity in which participants rotate tables and simulate real-life pitching situations giving students the opportunity to share their stories and enhance their pitching skills. The purpose of these Pitch meetings is professional development and educational feedback and not to sell or produce a specific project.
